About Us

OpenDoor Services originated in January of 2002 and began with over forty-five years of collaborative experience in working with the Developmentally Disabled population.

While ODS began as just a Supportive Living Service in both the Stockton and Modesto areas, several months of working long, hard hours in the field prepared ODS for it’s expansion; the Modesto Day Program was opened only three short months later, in March of 2002.

Due to the need for additional adult day programs (especially those which provided employment readiness and actual jobs within San Joaquin County), ODS was able to expand again and opened the Stockton Day Program in July 2002. Since the start of all three programs, ODS has experienced some growing pains due to the quick expansion, but continues to grow and develop new methods with which to assist our consumers in achieving their goals and leading more independent lives.
